Carol Louise Cannon, 84, of Atchison, Kanas died February 21, 2024, at Atchison Senior Village.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, February 27, 2024, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas, with Pastor Marty Reed officiating the service. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Sumner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Carol was born on February 22, 1940, in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Gilbert and Ruth (Hundley) Vessar. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1958. She married Jack Cannon on September 16, 1960, and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2012. She was a bus driver for 40 years, for Atchison Co. Carol was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Atchison.

She is survived by her son, John (Sharon) Cannon, daughter, Jane (Roger) Beach, grandchildren, Jake Paolucci, Jaclyn Pruitt, and Jordan Doll, Catherine and Ian Cannon, numerous great-grandchildren, brothers; Larry Vessar, Roger Vessar, Bobby Vessar, Ronnie Vessar, sisters; Joyce Crossland, Suzan Niemann, Martha Card, and Tammy Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Terry Vessar.
