Shawn Michael Schuler, age 41, of Atchison, KS, died unexpectedly on February 19, 2024.

A visitation to celebrate and remember Shawn- life will be Monday, February 26, 2024, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with a short prayer service by Rev. Dr. Rachel Dannar to conclude the visitation. Shawn will be cremated following the visitation.

Shawn was born on September 6, 1982, in Atchison, KS, the son of Sonja (Trower) and Jeffrey Schuler. He attended public grade school and graduated from Atchison High School. Growing up, he enjoyed wrestling, baseball and boy scouts. He was employed at Bradken for over fifteen years.

He could be described as the smartest, dumb guy you knew, for example, he enjoyed riding bulls at numerous rodeos. He loved the outdoors, cooking, gardening and was extremely crafty in all he did. The best part about him was that he was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his father, Jeff Schuler (Tammy Ferris); mother, Sonja Betts; sisters, Amanda Smith (Ricky), Erica Schuler; step brother, Kyle Ferris; step sister, Asha Ferris; paternal grandmother, Beverly Schuler; maternal grandmother, Mary Trower; and aunts and uncles, Wade (Tammy) Schuler, Shelly Quinlan, Robbie Walker, Tina Purdy, Corey Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his grandfathers, and step brother, Brandon Walker.
