Peggy Jo Woolard, 64, of rural Table Rock, Nebraska was born on July 20, 1959 in Crockett County, Tennessee to Jessie and Eddie May (Hughes) Castleman. After her father passed away unexpectedly, Peggy moved with her family to St. Joseph, Missouri. She grew up in Missouri, Tennessee, and Nebraska. Peggy graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri.

On September 19, 2009, Peggy was united in marriage to Mark Woolard in Elk Creek, Nebraska. The couple made their home outside of Table Rock and raised their family. Peggy worked as a paraprofessional at HTRS Schools where she enjoyed spending time with the kids and seeing her own children participate in school activities. As her health began to decline, Peggy wasn’t able to stay as active as she once was and mainly stayed at home on the farm. Peggy passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home in rural Table Rock, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of sixty-four years, six months, and twenty days. She is preceded in death by her father Jessie Castleman, mother and step-father Eddie May and Homer Mace, sisters Monica (LeRoy) Sapp and Tammy Jones, and husband Mark Woolard.

Peggy is survived by her children: Monty Mace of Blue Springs, MO; Danny Demers of Lincoln, NE; Crystal Demers, Dylan Woolard of Bloomfield, NM; Jeremiahe Woolard of rural Table Rock, NE; numerous grandchildren, brother Bill Castleman of rural Table Rock, NE; mother-in-law Margot Woolard of York, NE; sister-in-law Amy Felkner and her husband Russ of Beatrice, NE; brother-in-law Tim Woolard and fiancé Darcy Hynek of Fairbury, NE; and many other relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation for Peggy will be held from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Wherry Mortuary, 207 N. Nemaha Street in Humboldt. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.
