Sandra Denise “Sandi” Butler, 61, of Holton, KS, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at her home. She was born July 25, 1962 in Holton, KS, the daughter of Darrell D. “Dusty” and Marilyn Jane (Brownlow) May.

Sandi graduated from Holton High School in 1980 and from Washburn University with her Master Degree in Business Administration. She worked in Health Information Coding (RHIT) at Midland Care, Horton Community Hospital, Holton Community Hospital and currently for Kansas Foundation for Medical Care (KFMC).

Sandi had also owned and operated Kounty Kritters (craft store) in Holton. She was currently working part-time for The Gossip in Holton and owned Quilts 4 Me (her online store).

She was a former member of Jackson County 4-H and former member of the Jackson County Fair Board.

Sandi married Donald Robert Butler on May 27, 1983 in Miami, OK. They celebrated over 40 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; 2 sons, Korey Butler of Circleville, KS and Justin Butler of Topeka, KS; brother, Daniel L. May (Lori) of Grantville, KS and 6 grandchildren, Ava, Emree, Conner, Myia, Melody and Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell D. “Dusty” May and Marilyn Jane May.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery.
