Barbara Ann Davis, 82, of Topeka, KS, formerly of Valley Falls, KS, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She was born October 14, 1940 in Welch, Oklahoma, the daughter of W.A. and Virginia (Williams) Neill.

Barbara graduated from Lane High School in Lane, KS and earned her Nursing Degree in Grove, OK. She lived in Valley Falls from 1963 to early 1990- and again from late 1990- to 2016. She had also lived in Grove, OK; Topeka, Tecumseh & Burlingame, KS; and Georgetown, Delaware.

She and her husband owned and operated Hy-Klas Grocery, The Snack Shop and Ice Cream Shop in Valley Falls. Barbara was a meat cutter at Terry- Thriftway in Valley Falls for over 15 years and then became a nurse in Grove, OK. She was a member of Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed music, fishing, crafts and painting.

Barbara married Richard Lee Davis on July 28, 1958 in Lane, KS; he preceded her in death on March 8, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, W.A. and Virginia Neill; a daughter-in-law, Kelli McCoy and a grandson, Randy Davis.

Survivors include her 6 children, Tony Davis (Dawn) of La Vernia, TX, Frank Davis (Nancy) of Tecumseh, KS, Don McCoy of Basehor, KS, Kent Davis (Wendy) of Lawrence, KS, John Davis (Carla) of Georgetown, DE and Dusty Davis (Eileen) of Georgetown, DE; 2 sisters, Becky Lee (George) of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Cindy Vaughn (Leonard) of Oro Valley, Arizona; brother, Rocky Neill (Cathy) of Raymore, MO; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Family will greet friends during visitation one hour prior to service time.
