Wanda Sue Jenkins, 80, of Holton, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

She was born July 13, 1942 at Holton, the daughter of Henry and Violet Houpt Jenkins. She graduated from Holton High School in 1961.

She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Holton.

Wanda had been a waitress and a cook in different restaurants. She later worked for Craigs IGA, Shur-Save Grocery, Salts Liquor Store, and as a PBX telephone operator for the Prairie Band Casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Jenkins, and three sisters, Jo Alice Shea, Ila Rose Moser and Rita Jenkins.

Survivors include nieces, Barbara Shea, Holton, and Terri Gallup (Andy); nephews, Gregg Moser, Holton, and Wayde Shea (Lisa), Ottawa; great nieces and nephews, Caitlin Sonnich (Alex), Connor Shea (Montana), Claire Perry (Bret), Callie Shea and Dustin Gallup (Lindy), and a great-great niece and nephew, Brooks and Adalee Perry.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28th at the Chapel Oak Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be at a later date in the Holton Cemetery. Wanda will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
