Joyce E. Buck, 86, passed away July 9, 2022 at Falls City, NE. She was born October 9, 1935 at Lincoln, NE. to Charles and Eva (Barry) Luginbill.

She married Don Buck on January 19, 1957 at Lincoln. He passed away July 27, 2021.

Joyce was raised at Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954 and then attended Wesleyan University. She worked as a bookkeeper at Lincoln Country Club before marriage. When married the couple made their home in Lincoln, she was a homemaker. They moved to Kansas City and then to Murdock where she worked at a restaurant, they moved to Falls City in 1978.  She worked at various places including Little Duffer’s,Sun-Mart and was the bookkeeper for Buck’s Printing.  

She was a member of the DOES #56 since 1984, honorary member of the VFW Auxiliary Color Guard and Honor Guard; Richardson County Heart Association; Red Hat Society; Hospital Auxiliary Pink Lady; Respite Care Volunteer; rescue reading at Sacred Heart and the Humane Society. In 2016 at a Grand Lodge Meeting in Lincoln, she received the Loyalty Award of the Benevolent Patriot Order of DOES.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Todd Buck, Sr. and his wife Janis of Texas and Calvin Buck of Falls City, grandchildren,

Nicole and Todd, Jr. of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a half sister, Lavene Carter.

A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M. with Father Jim Meysenberg as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery at Greenwood, NE on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 9:30 A.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. A Catholic Daughters Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 4:00 P.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Family requests in lieu of flowers to make memorials to Sacred Heart Endowment Fund.
