Janice D. Bell, 59, of Sabetha, Kansas died Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the Sabetha Community Hospital. She was born on July 25, 1962, the daughter of Charles DeWayne Bell and Phyllis J. (Rowland) Bell at St. Joseph, Missouri.

The family moved to Sabetha, Kansas in 1974. Janice was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sabetha. She loved to read Christian books and write. In addition, she enjoyed watching movies and playing games with her family. Sitting and relaxing in the sun, was one of Janice’s favorite pastimes.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Gary D. Bell.

Janice is survived by her brother, James L. Bell of Sabetha, Kansas; her two sisters, Deborah J. Thomas and her husband, Sonny, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Cathy D. Sanders of Hiawatha, Kansas; and her two nieces, Linda M. Cavin of Hiawatha, Kansas and Sarah Idabell of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha, Kansas. Prior to the funeral service, a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Popkess Mortuary. The inurnment will be made in the Oneida Cemetery.
