Wayne Lynn Willmeth, 67, of Kansas City, KS died on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS with Rev. Mike Bobbitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison, KS. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 29th, 2021, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Wayne was born on November 10th, 1954, in Atchison, KS the son of Warren L. and Isabelle E. (Graves) Willmeth. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1973. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Kansas. He attended the Christ Unlimited Bible Institute, Kansas City. Wayne worked as a youth minister for Youth for Christ for 16 years, and the 2nd Mile Ministries/Milestone Youth Center for 27 years. Wayne was an Eagle Scout, served as a Boy Scout Adult Leader, was a Sachem in the Tribe of Mico-Say, were he also served as dance director and chaplain for many of the scout camps in the summer. He was a member of the Who’s Who from college, played alto sacs for the Kansas University Marching Band while in KU, and in the Alumni Band. Wayne was also a member of the Order of the Arrow, and had attended Philmont Scout Ranch, and Boundary Waters scout camps. Wayne was known for his generous and kind spirit, devoted to youth ministries’.

Survivors include two brothers, Warren (Joan) Willmeth, Rolling Meadows, IL, and Willie (Patty) Willmeth, Leavenworth, KS, four nieces, two nephews, four great nieces and two great nephews. His parents and grandparents preceded him in death.
