Keith Bowser

Keith Bowser, 87, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the Mission Village Nursing Facility in Horton.

He was born October 7, 1933 on a farm west of Mayetta, KS, the son of Roy and Ina Bostwick Bowser. He graduated from Whiting High School in 1951.

Keith was a farmer and a stockman in the Whiting area and had operated a dairy for thirty-two years. He also was a substitute mail carrier and had worked at Goodyear in Topeka for ten years.

He was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton and a former member of the Whiting United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Jackson County Farm Bureau Association.

Keith married Mildred L. Wenger on June 28, 1952 in the home of Mildred’s parents at Whiting. She preceded him in death on November 26, 2020.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Linda Borders, and a brother, Roy Eugene Bowser.

Survivors include two sons, Rusty Bowser, Otis, OR and Jerry Bowser (Mary), Netawaka; one daughter, Bonnie Hochstetler (Steven), Horton; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A memorial service for both Keith and Mildred will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery at Whiting.
