Ruth Ann Klahr, 71, of Holton, KS, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 5, 2020 at her home. She was born November 5, 1948 in Holton, KS, the daughter of Jack Randel and Agnes Norene (Sawyer) Tannahill.

Ruth graduated from Soldier High School in 1966 and also Clark’s Business College. She worked for Willies Steak House, State of Kansas, Oldham’s, and Country Mart. She later worked at Sac N Fox Casino in the Players Club; retiring in 2005. She enjoyed being a farmer’s wife and working on the farm.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka, Ladies Aide at the church and the Home Circle Club.

Ruth married Delmer Lee “Corky” Klahr on September 28, 1968 in Netawaka. They celebrated over 51 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Corky Klahr of the home; 2 daughters, Dana Klahr and Darla Ingels (Jeremy) both of Holton, KS; a sister, Janice Uhl of Holton, KS; 2 brothers, Jackie Tannahill (Joleen) of Soldier, KS and Ronald Tannahill (Tina) of Abilene, KS and 4 grandchildren, Hunter and Gable Howerton and Katelyn and Kinsley Ingels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raymond Tannahill.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2020 at the Netawaka Cemetery. Ruth will lie in state beginning Wednesday and Thursday until 4:00 p.m. and Friday until 10:30 a.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
