Wayne Francis Henry, 63, of Holton, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Holton Community Hospital in Holton.

Wayne was born December 24, 1955 in Axtell, KS to Joe Jr. and Evelyn (Feldkamp) Henry. He attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Grade School in Corning, graduating from the 8th Grade. He graduated from Wetmore High School in 1973. Following High School, he helped at the Goff Elevator until an accident in 1977; he then went to work for Henry Brothers Implement in Holton as the parts manager.

On September 13, 1986, Wayne married Brenda Potter in Maimi, Oklahoma.

Wayne had a passion for the outdoors. fishing, hunting, collecting toy tractors and Heston belt buckles. He was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton; as well as the Holton Knights of Columbus.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Joe on March 23, 2008 and Evelyn on June 21, 2016; and a brother, Tom on February 15, 2018.

Wayne is survived by his wife Brenda; his five children, Jasmine (Joe) Viera of Atlanta, Georgia, Torrey Henry of Holton, Alicia (Jake) Spalding of Holton, Alyssa Henry of Augusta, Kansas and Justus Henry of Wetmore; and three grandchildren, Malachi, Paislee, and Elias.

He is also survived by siblings, Michael (Cheryl) Henry of Topeka, Alan (Paula) Henry of Wetmore, Rosemary Henry of Holton, Kathy Scheid of Goff, Joyce (Kenneth) Stallbaumer of Wetmore and Jeff (Trudi) Henry of Topeka.

A rosary will be prayed at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 7 P.M.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jamie Zarse, at 10:00 A.M.  on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore.

Wayne will be laid to rest at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Corning.

Memorials are to be designated at a later date.
