Edwin J. Kramer, 100, of Seneca, Kansas, died on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the Life Care Center of Seneca.

Ed was born September 22, 1914, on a farm southeast of Seneca to Henry J. and Ada J. Vogel Kramer. He attended Sts. Peter & Paul Schools.

On January 20, 1937, he married Frances M. Strathman at Sacred Heart Church in Baileyville.  They lived and farmed on the Henry Kramer homestead southeast of Seneca. The couple celebrated their 63 years of marriage, before Frances death in 2000.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and St Joseph’s Society.  He enjoyed bowling riding horses, playing cards and cutting comforter blocks. 

He is survived by two sons, Lynn Kramer of Topeka and Dick Kramer of Pueblo, Colorado; three daughters, Diane Rottinghaus of Seneca, Karen Hawkins of Arma, Kansas and Janet Finley of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances on September 29, 2000; a son, Eldon Kramer on April 12, 1987; and a brother, Wilfred B. Kramer on January 4, 1997.

Rosaries will be prayed at 7 PM on Monday, August 17th at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Memorials will be designated at a later date.
