Patricia S. “Pat” Shreve, 77, of Lancaster, Kansas died Friday, August 7, 2015 at Maple Heights Nursing Center in Hiawatha, Kansas.

Private family graveside services and burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  There will be no scheduled visitation prior to graveside services.  Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society or Progressive Super Nuclear Palsy and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.
Pat was born March 8, 1938, the first daughter of William D. and Margaret Kolb Gibson in Kansas City, Missouri.  She attended school at Holy Cross and Northeast High School, Kansas City, Missouri.

Pat married Jack F. Shreve on April 18, 1954 in Claycomo, Missouri.  Her husband of forty seven years, Jack, preceded her in death on September 3, 2002.

With her husband, they owned and operated Shreve Ice Company and P J Snacks in Atchison.  Pat also worked at the Kansas City Star and then Sears Store where she retired after twenty years.  She then worked for the Flower Shoppe and as a receptionist for the office of Dr. Jean Koenen.
Pat belonged to several bowling leagues for more than fifty years.  She was also a member of Atchison Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Junior Guild and Newcomers of Atchison.  Her pasttimes were bowling, reading, Bunco and watching sports.  She was an avid Chiefs, Royals and KU basketball fan.

Survivors include her son, Rick (Gaynell) Shreve, Mesquite, TX, two daughters, Laura (Mark) Wheatley, Irving, TX, Gayla (Dave) Randall, Lancaster, KS, grandchildren, Mike Ditto, Jesse (Jenny) Ditto, Alex (Kim) Ditto, Lacee Burge, Jacob (Stephanie) Burge, Gini Fite, Trevor Leeder, Bobby (Laura) Randall, Dana (Chris) Moody, Zach Randall, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, four sisters, Deanna (Denny) Thompson, Debra Capps, Colleen Farmer and Penny Grace, several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Michael, Danny, Dennis and Tim Gibson and a son-in-law, Cliff Ditto.
