Gary Michael Swindale, 21, of Holton, KS passed away, Sunday, August 9, 2015, as the result of a single car accident. He was born October 15, 1993 in Onaga, KS the son of Eugene Duane Swindale and Nancy Annette Cattrell.

Gary graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 2012. He had worked for Kathy’s General Store and Boomer’s Steak House both in Holton and Lowe’s in Kansas City. Gary was currently working for SKF in Seneca as a fork-lift driver.

Survivors include his parents, Nancy Cattrell of Holton, KS and his father, Gene Swindale of Olathe, KS; two sisters, Samantha Swindale and Elizabeth Swindale both of Holton; maternal grandparents, Larry and Rita Cattrell of Circleville, KS and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Duane and Sue Swindale.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Ontario Cemetery. Gary will lie in state beginning Wednesday.  Family will greet friends 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
