Teresa M. Stallbaumer, 85, of Seneca died on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.

She was born on September 15, 1929, in Sabetha, Kansas to Dennis and Elizabeth Mongtomery Mulryan.

She grew up in St. Benedict and attended St. Mary’s Grade School and St. Mary’s High School, graduating in 1947. After high school she attended a year at St. Scholastica in Atchison. As a young woman she was employed by the Nemaha County Extension Office.

On February 3, 1951 she married Gilbert P. Stallbaumer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Benedict. The couple celebrated 58 years of marriage, prior to Gilbert’s death on July 13, 2009.

The young couple continued to live and farm in the St. Benedict community; when Gilbert’s folks decided to retire they took over their farming operation. They lived on the Stallbaumer family farm from December of 1955 until December of 1992, when they retired and moved to Seneca.

Teresa was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Sodality, and a former member of St. Mary’s Church in St. Benedict. She was a member of the committee to restore the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Benedict; and member of the State Line Club. Teresa was also a former officer of St. Mary’s Alter Society.

Teresa had many hobbies which included ceramics, collecting Candlewick crystal, oil painting and feeding and watching birds. One of her greatest joys was keeping up with all of her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren's activities.

She is survived by daughters, Joyce (Cyril) Schmitz of Baileyville, Judy (Michael) Powers of Marion, Barb (David) Engelken of Topeka and Bonnie Eisenbarth of Seneca; sons, Dale (Jacque) Stallbaumer of Sabetha and Joe (Sharon) Stallbaumer of Leawood; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gilbert on July 13, 2009; an infant daughter, Mary on August 7, 1952; and a son-in-law, Daniel “Izzy” Eisenbarth on July 22, 2008; her brothers, Eugene and Donald Mulryan.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 AM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 6 PM Sunday, July 26, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
