Doris M. Rusche, 62, of Seneca, died Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
Doris was born on February 14, 1953 in Belleville, Kansas to Alfred and Alice Rahe Spreer. She grew up in Perry, Kansas and attended Perry-Lecompton Schools; graduating high school in 1971. She was employed for Hallmark Cards in Lawrence for 25 years. She moved to Seneca and worked for Koch & Company in Seneca, in the cabinet section, until her health forced her to retire in 2011.
Doris married Von E. Rusche on January 23, 1996 in Seneca.
Doris loved to read a good book and would do so for hours on end. She also enjoyed word searches and took great delight in spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Dennis, Gary and Jim Spreer.
Doris is survived by her husband, Von; step-sons, Ryan (Kim) Rusche of Marysville and Travis (Jamie) Rusche of Seneca; two brothers, Stanley Speer of Lawrence and Kenneth (Paula) Speer of Perry; a sister, Beverly (Ken) Wright of Perry; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Doris will be 10:30 AM on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. A visitation will be held at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca on Thursday, July 16th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Memorials may be left in Doris’s name to the Nemaha Valley Respiratory Department.
