Betty Ann Blecha, 83, of Burchard, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Pawnee City, Nebraska at the Pawnee Manor. She was born on October 19, 1931 to Joseph and Mary (Weis) Blecha in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

She attended country school at Violet District 11 through the 8th grade. Betty then helped with the chores on the family farm. Betty enjoyed going with her sister Joan to play Bingo at  different towns in the county. 

Betty lived on the home place all of her life, until she became ill and was hospitalized in Lincoln, Nebraska. On June 1, 2015, she was then transferred to the Pawnee Manor in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Blecha; brothers Charles Blecha and Robert Blecha, sister Joan Blecha and brother-in-law, Ernest Shinn.

Betty is survived by her brothers John Blecha of Burchard, NE, Morris Blecha and wife Fran of Pawnee City, NE, Richard Blecha and wife Mary Ann of Humboldt, NE, and sister Mary Jean Shinn of Seneca, KS, many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 p.m.,Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Steianuer, Nebraska. Rosary on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.  Visitation on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 7-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Steinauer, Nebraska.  Memorials to family choice.  On line condolence may be left at www.wherrymortuary.com
