Virginia Caroline Brown, 78, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

She was born on November 30, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Walter and Mary Lee (Wilson) Johnson. Virginia was a secretary for Allis Chalmers for twenty five years. She then worked for the Brown County Treasurer's office and the Bank of Horton in the Insurance Department. Virginia then worked as a CMA at the Tri-County Manor before retiring.

She was a member of the St. Leo's Catholic Church and St. Leo's Altar Society. On November 4, 1960 she married Robert Brown Sr. in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2004.

Survivors include, two sons, Robert & LeAnn Brown Jr. of Horton, Kansas and Steven Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Robert Johnson and Wayne Johnson both of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cheyenne and Dakota Brown of Horton, Kansas; nephew, Robbie & Linda Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lila Baker and Rose Johnson and brother, Walter Johnson.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Horton Cemetery. Inurnment will be at the Horton Cemetery. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
