Alberta I. “Red” Grauer, 83, of Seneca, KS, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Crestview Nursing and Residential in Seneca.

 
Red was born May 23, 1931 in Horton, KS to Thomas Earl Coffman and Alice B. (Thompson) Coffman.
On May 29, 1949, she married George P. “Butch” Grauer. In her younger years, she worked at the Wagon Wheel in Marysville and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener and loved to shop for antiques. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Janice) Grauer, of Seneca; 4 sisters, Della Hartley of Horton, Mary Coffman of Horton, Joyce (Eldon) Olberding of Seneca, Jean (Gary) Thornton of Wamego; a brother, Cleo (Lorna) Coffman of Horton; five grandchildren; and 7 (soon to be 8) great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Butch, on January 28, 1992; a son, Terry Grauer in September 12, 1985; and 2 brothers, Johnnie Coffman and Cecil Coffman.

Funeral service is Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Seneca.  Visitation is Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be left to Coins for a Cause, sent in care of the funeral home, 814 Castle St., Seneca, KS 66538.
