Lois M. Johnson, 70, Atchison, KS, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO.

Mrs. Johnson has been cremated and no funeral services will be held. Memorial contributions may be left in her honor to the Kidney Foundation and sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Words of comfort and remembrance may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com

Lois Loader was born on March 29, 1944 in Atchison, the daughter of Roy and Lorene (Blair) Loader. She attended Atchison Public Schools and was a member of the Atchison First Christian Church. Lois and John C. Johnson were married on February 9, 1963 at the Atchison First Christian Church.
Lois was a housewife and homemaker. Lois had a beautiful spirit, a zest for life and she especially loved her family and grandson, Bradley. Lois enjoyed crocheting, fishing, arts and crafts, and spending time outside in all of God’s creation.

Lois is survived by her husband of 51 years, John C. ‘Johnny’ Johnson, of the home in Atchison; son, Rodney J. Johnson and Vickie McHaley, who was her very best friend and like a daughter to Lois; grandson, Bradley Eugene Johnson; cousin, Wanda Tadlock, Atchison.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Peterson.
