Martha Braley, 89, of Holton, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at Medicalodges Jackson County nursing home in Holton.

She was born September 24, 1925 in Orange, California, the daughter of Leonard and Mercedes Barroso Roustan. She had moved from California to Holton in 1990.

Martha had worked in the banking business in California. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton.

She married Hallie Ray Braley on June 15, 1974 in Orange, California. He died January 27, 1981.

Martha is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned. Martha's wishes were to not have any services and for her cremated remains to be buried at sea in the Pacific Ocean.

The Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of the arrangements.
