Wanda L. Coupe, 82, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 21, 2014 at Falls City. She was born March 14, 1932 at Hopkins, MO to the late Raymond L. and Pauline L. (Grimes) Spiegel.

On August 2, 1953 she married Stephen Coupe, Jr. at Hopkins, MO. He passed away April 3, 1971.

Wanda was raised at Forest City, MO and graduated Forest City High School in 1950. She attended Business College at St. Joseph, MO. When married the couple established their home at Falls City. She graduated cosmetology school and owned and operated Wanda’s Beauty Shop for 55 years at Falls City. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Falls City and Falls City DOES Drove #56.

Wanda is survived by her son, Stanley and his wife MarShell of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, Denise Kurpgeweit and her husband Lee of Falls City, brother, Merrill Spiegel and his wife Liz of Overland Park, KS, two grandsons, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Robert A. Roh as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Richard County Cancer Fund or Family Choice.
