John McClarnen, 65, of Lincoln, NE (formerly of Falls City, NE) passed away November 8, 2014. He was born April 29, 1949 at Humboldt, NE to the late Everett and Alice (Helmick) McClarnen.

On May 25, 1969 he married Linda Carmichael at Pawnee City, NE.

John was raised in Pawnee City and graduated Pawnee City High School in 1967. He then attended Southeast Community College in Milford and graduated as an Auto Body Technician. When married the couple established their home in Pawnee City where he worked for Bob Smith Auto. In 1972 they moved to Beatrice and he worked at Sparky’s Auto Body. In 1979 they moved to Falls City and he worked for Hoss-Smith Ford. He purchased John’s Body Shop in 1980 moving to Lincoln in 2008 and was currently employed by Speedway Motors. He loved his grandchildren, fishing and detailing cars.

John is survived by his wife, Linda of Lincoln, NE, son, John and his wife Tara of Elkhorn, NE, daughter, Nicole Lippold and her husband Chad of Bennett, NE, grandchildren, Bryce McClarnen, Baylor and Camrin Lippold. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
