(KLZA)-- An Auburn Elementary Student is one of 27 state merit winners across the United States in the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge.
Calvert Elementary School 5th grader Sharvil Kaware has been named the Nebraska merit winner in the nation’s premier science competition for students in grades 5-8. Kaware was chosen for developing a solution to an everyday problem that could ultimately reshape the way we live our lives.
Each January students across the country are asked to create a short video describing a new invention or solution that could solve or impact an everyday problem. Kaware rose to the top out of hundreds of submissions.
The 10-year old budding scientist is being recognized for his project on Anti-slip Footwear using Carbon Nanofibers.
Kaware will receive special recognition on the challenge website, youngscientistchallenge.com and a technology prize pack.
