(KLZA)-- A Columbus, Nebraska woman was killed and four other family members injured in a single-vehicle wreck two miles southwest of Rock Port early Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, 34-year-old Jason Pace of Columbus was southbound on Interstate 29 when his Dodge Caravan ran off the east side of the roadway into the median and rolled several times.
A passenger, 30-year-old Cristyna Pace, was ejected from the van and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jason Pace suffered serious injuries and was transported by Life Flight to a St. Joseph Hospital. 11-year-old Elliot Pace and 4-year-old Maxwell Pace both suffered serious injuries and were transported to Fairfax Community Hospital and later transported to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
An infant suffered minor injuries and was also transported to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
The Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, Rock Port Police Department, Rock Port Fire Department and the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District all assisted at the scene of the crash.
