School District Opening Fitness Center to Public
03/14/2013

(KTNC) - The Pawnee City School District is opening its Fitness Center to community members.
Superintendent Stephen Grizzle says the School Board took the final steps Monday night to revise district policies to allow the public to use the school facility.  (play audio   :31  oc: “membership process.”)
Grizzle says community members will have to purchase a membership and complete an application process before being allowed to use the Fitness Center.  (play audio  :24    oc: “fitness center rules.”)
The fitness center contains a variety of exercise and weight equipment.
Grizzle says they hope to have the center ready to open to the public by this summer.  He says there are a couple things that need to be done before the building is ready, including installing security cameras and a keyless entry system.
The board also approved the annual membership fees of $60 for families and $40 for individuals.
