(KTNC) - The Nemaha County Nebraska Sheriff’s Office has begun using social media to inform the public about happenings within the department. The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department now has a Facebook page as a way to keep the public informed about happenings in the county.
They started using the Facebook page last Thursday. The page will allow the department to post information of interest to the public.
Information will be posted regarding moderate to severe crashes, higher level crimes that have either occurred or have been resolved, traffic information, and other information of interest to the general public.
Confidential information that may compromise an ongoing investigation will not be posted.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page can be found by searching for “Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department” on Facebook. The page is presently a work in progress, and department officials say it will be updated and enhanced over time.
