The Peru State Women’s golf team finished second at the Heart of America Athletic Conference meet in Boonville, Missouri. This is believed the be the highest finish ever for a women’s golf team at Peru State College.
Avila University won the team title and Megan Miehe of Culver-Stockton College was the medalist.
The Bobcats finished the two-day tournament with a score of 730 picking up the second place finish in a playoff with Baker University. Avila shot a score of 715 for the title.
Jordan Schaardt of Humboldt led the Bobcats with a two day total of 169 which was six shots from first place. Rounds of 83 and 86 put the Bobcat team captain in third place. A nagging shoulder injury bothered her throughout the conference tournament according to coach Brett Hahn.
Courtney Musgrave of Omaha was one shot behind Schaardt with a two day total of 170, good for a fourth place finish. Katie Potter of Omaha tied for eighth with a score of 180.
Jacey Stoner had a score of 211.
