Deadline Tuesday to Apply for Top Job at Southeast Community College
(KTNC) - The deadline is tomorrow (Tuesday) to apply to become the next president and C-E-O of Southeast Community College. The college is taking applications for candidates to succeed president Jack Huck, who is retiring at the end of June.
The college has received about ten applications for the position so far, though SCC board member Dale Kruse expects more will come in just before the deadline. Kruse says they should get a first look at the applications on Wednesday and he expects the full board will interview three to five finalists for the position.
Despite a recent downturn in enrollment, Kruse says SCC is in a strong financial and academic position.
A new president should be chosen early next year, with that person taking office in July. Southeast has campuses in Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford.
