(KLZA)-- Southeast Community College is in the process arranging for space to lease for a new outreach center in Falls City.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend an open house Tuesday, September 29th at Prichard Auditorium in Falls City between 4:30 and 6 p-m. During that time SCC personnel will be on hand to receive public input on desired course offerings and workforce training opportunities.
The Falls City Outreach Center will be one of six such sties SCC administrators are launching in the 15-county area served.
The Outreach Center will offer classes to provide students with many of the skills needed for existing and new job openings and enable students to earn credits toward the certificate program of SCC’s Beatrice, Milford and Lincoln campuses.
EDGE’s Tri-State Labor Committee has found needs for classes to prepare persons for welding jobs and in the healthcare industry. It is anticipated these will be included among the class offerings at the Falls City site.
