Area Golfers Compete at Lewiston Invite

 Elmwood-Murdock placed three golfers in the top five individuals on their way to winning the team title at the Lewiston Golf Invitational Wednesday. 
 The Knights won the tournament with a team score of 332.  Falls City had three of the top 10 golfers and finished second with a 348 total, with Auburn in 3rd place at 365.  The Bulldogs were followed by Johnson County Central (369), Lewiston (371), and Lincoln Christian (405).  Junior Varsity teams from JCC, Auburn, and Elmwood-Murdock held down spots 7 through 9, and Weeping Water placed 10th.  Golfers from HTRS, Pawnee City, and Cedar Bluffs also competed, but did not record a team score.
 Individually, Lewiston’s Trevor Jasa continued his early season success, taking medalist honors with a low round of 78.  Jake Kuhlman of Elmwood-Murdock was second with an 80, and the Knights’ Mitchell Rust was third with an 83.  Falls City junior Wade Witt shot an 83, good for 4th place.  Ray Behling of Elmwood-Murdock also shot an 83 and placed 5th. 
 Rounding out the top 10 individual golfers were Joe Nelson of Auburn in 6th, Brody Weinman of Falls City 7th, Trevyn Blex of Auburn 8th, Cody Behling of Elmwood-Murdock 9th, and Weston Witt of Falls City 10th.
 Four golfers shot a 90 - Brandt Vice of Falls City was 12th, Calvin Bishop of Auburn 13th, Austin Nider of Pawnee City 14th, and Josh Crane of JCC 15th.
