The City of Seneca is set to host a unique event, allowing companies to learn from active exporters about international business.
The International Trade Networking Event is set to happen March 14th, made possible through the sponsorship of agencies including the Kansas Department of Commerce.
John Watson is the Director of the Trade Development Division of that agency(Play Audio :33 seconds)
Watson says there are funds allocated to assist those businesses seeking to expand their operations to the international level(Play Audio :10 seconds)
During the networking event, attendees will network with active exporters, and hear from federal and state officials about available resources, along with presentations by successful business leaders(Play Audio :34 seconds)
The International Trade Networking even is free, and open to company owners and economic development officials interested in conducting international business(Play Audio :14 seconds)
The event will begin on the morning of Wednesday, March 14th, at 8:30 and run until noon at the Settle Inn.
Along with the Department of Commerce, a number of other agencies have worked together to sponsor the event, including Seneca Downtown Impact and the Northeast Kansas Coalition for Rural Economic Development.
