A second candidate has filed for Jackson County Sheriff.
Bob McNicholas of Netawaka filed Tuesday on the Republican ticket. McNicholas majored in criminal justice while serving in the military and is currently a truck driver.
Sheriff Tim Morse, a Democrat, previously filed for election to the position he was appointed to last April to fill the unexpired term of Charles Cornell.
Meanwhile, a second candidate has filed for 2nd District Jackson County Commissioner.
Ryan Shaw of Holton recently filed on the Republican ticket.
He joins another Holton Republican, Doug Fisher, in seeking the position currently held by Roger Coverdale.
All county offices, except that of 1st district commissioner, are up for election in November.
Candidates have until noon, June 1st to file.
