An alert citizen is commended for the assistance given that lead to the arrest of two men, in connection with a Brown County Theft Case.
Sheriff John Merchant says the investigation began Wednesday afternoon, shortly after the crime was reported, at a rural residence(Play Audio :16 seconds)
Although the suspects had fled the scene, investigators were armed with detailed information provided by the alert resident, and that led to the arrest of
43-year-old Robert Garrison and 32-year-old Jayson Smith, in Sabetha, where both suspects live(Play Audio :17 seconds)
Garrison and Smith were both arrested on charges of theft and possession of stolen property.
Smith also had a Horton City Warrant for Contempt of Court.
Both were taken to the Brown County Jail.
