State Recognizes Native American Day

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback today signed a proclamation marking February 8th, 2012 as the first Native American Day at the Capitol. Representatives of the Iowa Tribe, Kickapoo Tribe, Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the Sac and Fox Nation joined the Governor for the signing of the proclamation.
