A Wathena man convicted on an amended charge of attempting to possess methamphetamine has been sentenced to 28-months in prison.
Jeremy Spotts was handed the sentence in Doniphan County District Court.
Spotts was also sentenced to 12-months in jail on a misdemeanor charge of criminal restraint.
The sentences were ordered to run concurrently or at the same time. He was credited for 146 days served in jail since his arrest last August 18th.
Spotts pleaded no contest to the charges last month. In exchange for the plea, several other charges were dismissed.
Spotts and his brother, Travis Smith, were arrested after authorities raided their trailer home in Wathena last August, discovering what they believed to be ingredients for an apparent meth lab.
The charges against Smith were recently dismissed by the state.
