The first of three public meetings seeking input regarding the redevelopment of Big Lake State Park in Holt County, Missouri will be held from 7 – 9 p-m Wednesday evening at the Mound City Middle School.
The second meeting will be held Thursday from 1 – 3 p-m at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Room at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville and the third will be Thursday from 4:30 – 7:30 p-m at the Remington Nature Center in St. Joseph.
Missouri State Parks representatives will present options under consideration for the park’s redevelopment as a result of the flooding this past summer. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions, make comments and suggest ideas regarding the park plans.
Following the meetings, the plans will be available to review at mostateparks.com for two weeks. An on-lien survey will also allow the public to provide input on plan alternatives.
