(KLZA)--Alcohol and speed are suspected to be factors in the death of a 25-year-old Auburn, Nebraska man in a single-vehicle wreck Sunday evening.
According to a news release from the Nemaha County, Nebraska Sheriff’s Office, the wreck happened shortly before 8:30 near the intersection of Highway 67 and Washington Street in Nemaha, Nebraska.
The sheriff's office says a Dodge Durango driven by Matthew Sciarappa was southbound on Highway 67 when it left the road, striking an unoccupied building and parked pickup on the east side of Highway 67.
Sciarappa, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nemaha Fire and Rescue and the Auburn Fire Department responded to the scene.
The crash is being investigated by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Nebraska State Patrol.
