(KNZA)--A realistic counterfeit $50.00 bill goes unnoticed until after the suspect was able to get away.
That word Friday from Hiawatha Police Chief John Defore, who says the bill was passed at a Hiawatha convenience store.
The funny money was reported to police Friday morning, but only after being identified as fake by a local bank, whose technology discovered it.
