Riverside Cyclones track teams sweep the team titles for their mini-meet track meet at home yesterday. The girls Cyclones team won the team crown with a 188.5 total points, which was 81.5 points higher than that of the second place finishers in St. Jospeh Christian school. On the boys side it was kind of the same story with a wide margin between the Cyclones who finished first overall with 162 total points 36 points better than the second place finishers St. Joseph Christian school, also.
Overall Riverside took home 19 first place finishes on the day with both the boys and girls combined, adding 15 more second and third places finishes together, too.
The Riverside boys relay team won three relay events on the day taking the 4x100 WT, 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay crowns. Individually one Cyclone athlete won three individual events, that was Connor Strader as she won the 800 meter run, triple jump and long jump titles. Two other individuals and the girls relay team won multiple events on the day. Riverside girls relay team won both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay's, while Allie Simonin and Dylan Poirer both won two events as individuals, also. Simonin won both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, while Poirer won the 110 meter hurdle crown on the boys side, too, along with the pole vault crown.
Seven other Cylcones won events on the day, as Riverside sweep both the discus and javelin throw titles and won the boys high jump and shot put. Derek Nold and Tessa Both both won the discus, while their counterparts Dakota Pummell and Kimberly Euler each won the javelin throw. Shot put crown went to Ryan Johnson, with the high jump crown being earned by Dillon Logston.
