Chiefs 2012 NFL Schedule Revealed

The 2012 NFL schedule has been announced and the Kansas City Chiefs have learned when and what time they will take on their opponents for the 2012 season. Kansas City will open up the season at Arrowhead on September 9th, against an NFC South opponent the Atlanta Falcons, having former Chiefs tight end, Tony Gonzalez returning to Arrowhead.

Kansas City will be featured on a Thursday night game on November 1st when the take on the San Diego Chargers in San Diego. The next week following the Thursday night game the Chiefs will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers on Monday Night Football.

Chiefs will only play one AFC West divisional opponent in the first six weeks, when the take on San Diego at home in week four. Other highlights the Chiefs will face off against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in week three in New Orleans and will take on a pair of second year quarterbacks in Andy Dalton and Cam Newton both at Arrowhead, when the play the Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers, November 18th and December 2nd, respectively.

Kansas City will not see Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, until week 12 when they play the Broncos at home. Chiefs will close out the season for the second straight year at Denver.
