Auburn School Board Votes to Sell Building

The Auburn School Board approved the sale of the Alternative Education Building when they met Monday night.  Superintendent Kevin Reiman said the district no longer used the facility. ( play audio  :27 seconds )
    Board members also approved the purchase of 240 new seats for the State Theater the Auburn School District owns in Downtown Auburn. ( play audio  :44 seconds )
     The school district has received nearly $85,000 in contributions for the theater renovation and new digital projector. Superintendent Reiman says the district is very thankful for the contributions so no tax dollars are used for the theater upgrades.  ( play audio  :20 seconds )
    The Auburn Board also accepted retirement resignations from two district teachers.  ( play audio  :18 seconds )
    Proclamations declaring May 7th – 11th as Teacher Appreciation Week and School Nutrition Employee Week were approved and the board approved continuing an agreement with Educational Service Unit #4 for Core Services.
