Krumme Arboretum Seeks Volunteers
04/09/2012

This year marks the 20th year since the first trees were planted at the Krumme Memorial Arboretum in Falls City, and several events are being planned to celebrate the milestone.
As part of the year, the Arboretum Working Group is seeking volunteers to help with maintenance of the grounds, as part of an ongoing effort this year – what’s being called “2 hours for the 20th.”
Volunteers are being asked to come to the arboretum for two hours on the second Saturday of each month through October.  The first such event will be Saturday, April 14th, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.  Volunteers are asked to bring their own hand tools and gloves to help with various projects at the arboretum.
An Arbor Day observance is planned at the Arboretum on Sunday, April 29th, beginning at 1:30 p.m., with music from the Clefsmen and The Bass Players.
