Tire Tank Installation Demonstration Set for April 9 Near Herington, Ks.
The Clarks Creek Water Quality Project will be hosting a tire tank installation demonstration on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at 833 S 3000 Road, Herington, KS . Topics covered will be installation of geotextile fabric mats with rock overlay, installation of the tank, and plumbing considerations. The tank placement is part of a larger project involving a field conversion to fescue, drilling of a well and placement of a solar system for the pump.
The project is being done in conjunction with NRCS, KSU Extension, and The Kansas Rural Center. A light late lunch will be provided around 1:00 p.m.
