A Hiawatha home is listed as a total loss following a fire early this ( Tuesday ) morning.
The Hiawatha Fire Department was called to the Paula McCarron residence located at 712 Kickapoo Street shortly after 6:30 a.m.
Fire Chief Bill Roland said when firefighters arrived the two-story house was engulfed in flames.
Roland said it took firefighters about two hours to bring the fire under control.
No injuries were reported.
Roland said the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
The Robinson Fire Department, Brown County Rescue Squad and Town and Country Ambulance assisted.
