A 36 year old woman arrested Friday evening on misdemeanor charges gets a felony charge shortly after her booking.

According to Atchison County Sheriff John Calhoon, Tracey Vollmer was given the charge of bringing contraband into a correctional facility.

He says they allegedly discovered currency concealed on a part of her body after she was booked on an Atchison Police arrest on a warrant for failure to appear in Shawnee County.

Upon her discovery, police gave additional charges of obstruction and pedestrian under the influence.

Sheriff Calhoon says statues describe anything discovered that is not proper brought into a facility concealed after asking is grounds for the charge.

She remains in jail on 105 dollars bond for the failure to appear, and 10 thousand dollars on the contraband charge.
