U.S. Senator Jerry Moran is encouraging the public to share their concerns about a proposed rule by the Department of Labor that he says would fundamentally change the future of agriculture.
The Kansas Republican says the rule would ban youth under the age of 16 from participating in common farm-related tasks....( play audio )
Moran says the Department of Labor also proposes to do away with successful farm safety training and certification programs like those offered by cooperative extension, 4-H, and Future Farmers of America.
