Private Applicator Training Programs In NW Missouri

(Oregon MO.)-- Private applicator pesticide training will begin each meeting with agricultural technical updates following the training. The meeting is conducted by your local University of Missouri Extension staff.  Each meeting will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and the ag updates will start at 10 a.m. For the applicator training, a training manual is required for licensing and a fee is charged for such. If you have an old manual, please bring so you will not be charged for a new manual.

Topics for the updates include practical agronomic recommendations to manage costs and maximize profits provided by the regional agronomist. Livestock specialists will discuss the new veterinary feed directive for antibiotics. The resource engineer specialist will provide an update on research conducted at the Graves- Chapple Research Center. The ag business specialist will present information on leases, input costs, taxes and breakeven costs. Horticulture will provide an update on the latest issues affecting horticulture plants.

The schedule is as follows: Holt County Ag Update, Thursday, January 21 at the T.J. Hall Building in Oregon; Atchison County Ag Update, Friday, January 22 at the Atchison County Extension office in Rockport; Andrew County Ag Update, Tuesday, January 26 at the Clasbey Building in Savannah; Nodaway County Ag Update, Wednesday, January 27 at Nodaway County Administration Center  in Maryville; Buchanan County Ag Update, Thursday, January 28 at the Buchanan County Extension office in St. Joseph; Clinton County Ag Update, Friday, January 29 at the Youth Building in Plattsburg; DeKalb County Ag Update, Tuesday, February 2 at the Courthouse in Maysville.
