Falls City Utilities Warns of Scam Attempts
10/13/2015

(KLZA)-- The Falls City Utility Department is warning of an apparent scam attempt in Falls City.

Several businesses have been notified by telephone that they are behind on their utility bills and if they do not make a payment their utility services will be shut off.

Complete details of the scam attempt are not known.

Utility Superintendent Alan Romine said the Utility Department only sends disconnect notices in the mail and that payment is not accepted over the phone.

You should never give your credit card or bank account information over the phone unless you initiated the call and know who you are talking to.
